Software Engineering in GTM Ops @ Clay

We're looking for software engineers who enjoy solving operational problems with product thinking. As a Software Engineer on GTM Engineering, you'll partner directly with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to understand how work happens, and then build software that fundamentally improves it. You'll move quickly from idea to production, shipping internal products that have an immediate impact across the company. Whether you're building AI agents, workflow automation, developer platforms, or entirely new internal applications, your work will shape how Clay grows. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy wearing multiple hats, working closely with users, and building products that create leverage across an organization.

What You'll Do

• Build internal products that accelerate Clay's go-to-market teams
• Own projects end-to-end: from discovery and prototyping through production and long-term ownership
• Partner directly with GTM teams to identify high-leverage opportunities
• Build AI-native workflows using Clay, LLMs, and modern automation frameworks
• Design integrations across Clay, Salesforce, Snowflake, Slack,internal APIs, and other business systems
• Create tooling and platforms that enable rapid experimentation across the business
• Help define what modern GTM Engineering looks like as AI transforms go-to-market

What You'll Bring

• Have 4+ years of experience building production software
• Are fluent in TypeScript or Python and comfortable working across the full stack
• Have experience building internal tools, workflow automation, developer platforms, or customer-facing products
• Have built AI-powered applications using LLMs and modern AI tooling
• Enjoy working directly with end users and rapidly iterating based on feedback
• Think like a product builder, not just an implementer
• Take ownership, move quickly, and bias toward shipping
• Are excited by ambiguity and thrive in fast-moving startup environments

Bonus Points If You Have Experience With:

• Revenue Operations or GTM systems
• Salesforce, HubSpot, Snowflake, dbt, or modern data platforms
• Workflow orchestration tools and APIs
• Startup experience as an early engineer or founder
• Building AI agents or autonomous workflow systems
