The role

Nebius is looking for a seasoned digital marketer to own our global SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy end to end. This is not a coordination-only role: you will set the strategy, build the measurement framework, identify the highest-value opportunities, translate insight into clear recommendations, and drive implementation with content, web, product marketing, engineering, and analytics partners.

You will be the company’s subject-matter expert for how Nebius is discovered, understood, cited, and selected across traditional search engines and AI-powered answer experiences. The right person has already built and scaled an organic growth program, can point to measurable commercial outcomes, and is comfortable operating independently from day one in a fast-moving global environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Set the GEO/AIO strategy and drive execution. Define priority topics and target LLMs, and develop tailored content, citation and authority-building tactics to grow Nebius’s visibility, prominence and share of voice in AI-generated answers.
• Set the SEO strategy and drive execution. Define priority keywords and search terms, and lead technical SEO, on page optimization to achieve and sustain top organic search rankings.
• Turn analytics into action. Create a unified measurement framework and dashboards covering organic visibility, non-branded demand, rankings, traffic quality, engagement, conversions, pipeline influence, share of voice, AI citations, referral traffic, and content performance.
• Find and scale winning themes. Use search, audience, competitive, conversion, and AI visibility data to identify topics where Nebius can win. Translate those insights into prioritized content recommendations, briefs, refresh plans, and scalable programs for content owners.
• Optimize content directly when needed. Audit and improve existing pages for intent, information architecture, clarity, internal linking, metadata, structured data, conversion paths, and retrievability by search engines and large language models.
• Lead technical web optimization. Partner with web and engineering teams on crawlability, indexation, rendering, performance, internationalization, schema, migrations, site architecture, redirects, canonicalization, and other technical foundations.
• Build GEO and AEO capability. Define how Nebius measures and improves presence across AI assistants and answer engines. Test the content formats, source signals, structured information, digital PR, and authority patterns most likely to earn accurate citations and recommendations.
• Run an experimentation program. Design and evaluate tests across templates, page structures, content formats, calls to action, internal links, and conversion journeys; turn results into repeatable playbooks.
• Build an AI-native operating model. Use and, where valuable, build AI agents to automate repeatable research, monitoring, analysis, content briefing, quality assurance, and optimization tasks, improving speed and scale without lowering editorial or analytical standards.
• Create operating discipline. Establish prioritization, governance, documentation, editorial standards, reporting cadences, and quality checks that make organic growth a durable cross-functional capability.
• Advise senior stakeholders. Communicate opportunities, trade-offs, progress, and business impact clearly to marketing and company leadership; challenge assumptions with evidence and make decisive recommendations.

What success looks like:
You are a system thinker with equal parts strategist, analyst, operator, and editor. You have enough technical depth to diagnose foundational issues, enough content judgment to improve how a complex story is told, and enough commercial instinct to prioritize the work that will matter most. You are comfortable being the expert in the room, but you build trust through evidence, clarity, and collaboration. Most importantly, you have done this before, and you are ready to own it again at global scale.

• A clear baseline, measurement model, and prioritized SEO and GEO roadmap are in place within the first 90 days.
• Content and web teams receive actionable recommendations grounded in opportunity size, audience intent, competitive whitespace, and expected business impact.
• Nebius grows qualified, non-branded organic visibility across priority products, use cases, audiences, and markets, translating that visibility into increased website traffic from search engines and LLMs.
• Nebius becomes more consistently represented and accurately cited in relevant AI-generated answers.
• Existing content improves through a disciplined refresh and optimization program, while new winning themes are scaled efficiently.
• Organic performance is connected to meaningful business outcomes, not reported only through rankings or traffic volume.

We expect you to have:

• 8+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, web strategy, content strategy, or a closely related digital marketing discipline, including significant end-to-end ownership.
• A proven record of building or transforming an SEO program at scale, with concrete examples of impact on qualified traffic, conversions, revenue, pipeline, or another business outcome.
• Hands-on experience across technical SEO, content-led growth, on-page optimization, keyword and audience research, competitive analysis, information architecture, structured data, and site migrations.
• Practical experience with GEO, AEO, AI-search visibility, or content programs designed to earn citations and recommendations in tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or comparable experiences.
• Advanced analytical capability: you can build useful dashboards, distinguish signal from noise, diagnose performance changes, size opportunities, and make recommendations that teams can act on.
• Hands-on experience with modern SEO and GEO platforms. You know how to configure the tools, interrogate the data, validate findings, and convert outputs into an executable growth plan rather than relying on automated recommendations at face value.
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to connect organic visibility to audience quality, conversion, demand generation, and revenue, not just vanity metrics.
• Demonstrated success working with writers and content owners: developing briefs, editing or optimizing copy, establishing standards, and scaling repeatable content programs without becoming a bottleneck.
• Confidence partnering with web developers, engineers, UX, product marketers, demand generation, communications, and analytics teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to make complex findings clear to both specialists and executives.
• High autonomy, sound prioritization, and a bias for action. You can enter an ambiguous environment, determine what matters, and make progress with limited oversight.

It will be an added bonus if you have:

• Experience in fast-growing B2B technology, cloud infrastructure, AI, developer platforms, enterprise software, or another complex technical category.
• Ownership of a global program.
• Experience with digital PR, link earning, brand/entity authority, or off-site signals that improve both search performance and AI discoverability.
• Working knowledge of CRO, UX research, paid-search insights, and full-funnel measurement.
• Experience with Profound or GrowthX, or comparable platforms for AI-search intelligence, content operations, monitoring, and optimization
• Familiarity with platforms such as Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush, Ahrefs, Conductor, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio, and emerging AI-visibility tools. We care more about analytical fluency than any single tool.
• A strong track record of optimizing your own workload by building and orchestrating AI agents, automations, or custom workflows, while applying appropriate human review, governance, and quality controls.

Pay Transparency

We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, the level at which the candidate is hired, and geographic location, consistent with applicable law.

Base Compensation Range

$150,000—$187,500 USD
